Our international NGOs
The challenges of our time are more global than ever. As a catalyst for social innovation and a promoter of social entrepreneurship transcending national borders, Groupe SOS is committed to pursuing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.
Global challenges and local specificities: our NGOs work in developing countries to promote respect for fundamental rights and the environment, as well as inclusive and sustainable economic development.
PLAY International
For 20 years, PLAY International has been working to turn sports into a lever for education and social change. This on-the-ground activity shows that it is possible to have a positive impact on people’s lives by inventing new ways of using physical activity and sport: to promote learning and develop life skills; to facilitate dialogue between communities devastated by war etc.
Afghanistan Libre
Created as a response to the deterioration of women’s rights under the first Taliban regime, Afghanistan Libre’s primary goal is to facilitate access to education, health and vocational training for as many girls and women in Afghanistan as possible, so they can become independent.
Ateliere Fara Frontiere
The Romanian association Ateliere Fara Frontiere, founded in Bucharest in 2008, is dedicated to the social and professional inclusion of the most excluded sections of the population. The organisation enables a return to employment through three integration activities with a high environmental impact (recycling of advertising materials, collection of electronic and electrical waste, production of organic fruit and vegetables).
PPI
PPI – People Power Inclusion is a non-governmental organisation committed to entrepreneurship and positive economy. It operates in more than 20 countries between Africa and the Middle East, working to prevent the emergence of precarious situations by giving vulnerable populations access to stable jobs and incomes. The majority of the 2 million direct beneficiaries of its programmes are women and young people, who are most exposed to educational and economic insecurity.
Santé Sud
In the countries where Santé Sud operates, the health situation is often alarming. The organisation’s teams train and support health and social professionals to enable them to intervene more effectively in the field. The end goals are to develop access to basic healthcare, strengthen local healthcare systems and improve healthcare quality in hospitals and clinics.
Planète Urgence
Planète Urgence is an international solidarity organisation founded in Paris in 2000 by NGO professionals (Médecins du Monde, Handicap International), around the concept of Congé Solidaire® (Solidarity Leave). Recognised as serving public interest, its initiatives enable people to act responsibly to promote their own development and that of their community, and thus encourage their resilience to change.
FACE
FACE (Fondation Agir Contre l’Exclusion) is a charitable foundation that aims to prevent and combat all forms of exclusion, discrimination and poverty. Youths from disadvantaged backgrounds, jobseekers, refugees, migrants, women victims of abuse, elderly, isolated, dependent people… The persons FACE cares for have one thing in common: they are suffering not just from one issue but from economic, social and societal challenges that have a major impact on their living conditions and, at the same time, make them invisible. That’s why the FACE Foundation deploys practical, long-term initiatives designed to meet a wide range of needs and to guarantee equal opportunities and accessibility.
