Entrepreneurs for the most vulnerable
Marginalised women
Because women are more exposed to precariousness, violence, social inequalities in health and employment, Groupe SOS is committed to standing by them. Our approach: developing specific services to address women’s specific issues, and integrating the gender issue into all our programmes, to ensure that they are as suitable for women as for men.
Our actions
Protect, shelter and assist
Marginalised women are more exposed to sexual violence, precariousness, unemployment… and have difficulty accessing dedicated services. In response to this problem, Groupe SOS has developed a specific reception service for women in several of its facilities.
Granting women access to health
Precariousness, isolation, invisibility, stigmatisation, complications around their sexuality and contraception, abuse… Women living with a health condition have specific challenges that need to be addressed properly.
Deconstructing gender stereotypes
At the age of 4, 70% of children think that men dominate women. These stereotypes influence people from the earliest age and aggravate many unacceptable behaviours and inequalities over the course of their lives. Therefore, Groupe SOS works at all stages of life, with its teams, beneficiaries, partners and the public, to deconstruct gender stereotypes.
Integrating women into the labour market
Inequalities between men and women in employment are still prevalent in our society. To combat these inequalities and move towards positive change, Groupe SOS is implementing various initiatives aimed at integrating women into the labour and promoting female entrepreneurship.
